Discover Te Muna Valley's deliciousness

Bookings open for Martinborough wine weekend

I have long been a follower, writer and fan of Te Muna Valley, its majestic landscape and outstanding Pinot Noirs, so I am thrilled to be hosting the opening half of a new event called Discover Te Muna. The two day event will include great wines from producers such as Blue Earth, Craggy Range, Equilibrium, Escarpment Vineyard, Mason and Te Tera. I will host an in-depth tasting of whites and reds from Te Muna as well as the story of this stunning valley's transformation from farming to wine.

The first Discover Te Muna tasting event is in early August and tickets are open now. Join us (the wineries of Te Muna Valley and I) for a delicious two day experience immersing yourself in the winemaking, viticulture and wines of Te Muna Valley.

Bookings are open now here for Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 August

Buy your ticket here $275 (plus booking fee)  https://www.eventbrite.co.nz/e/discover-te-muna-tickets-927000462337

Places are strictly limited to a maximum of 18 people each weekend

Discover Te Muna... two immersive delicious days of tasting and touring

Day One

Saturday 10 August

We have created a special winter package that begins with your pick up from Martinborough Square at 10.30am and transported to Escarpment. I will introduce you to the wines and place of Te Muna with a curated tasting and masterclass diving into the special attributes of our Martinborough sub region. Lunch will be a relaxed buffet with drop off back at the Square around 3.30pm.

Day Two

Sunday 11 August

Your pick up is at Martinborough Square at 10.30am for a shuttle to Escarpment.  This time it is to taste a selection of Escarpment wines and glimpse behind the scenes at this stunning winery. The next stop is Big Sky Wines, where founders Katherine Jacobs and Jeremy Corban share how they manage their organic vineyard and a taste of their current wines.  Finally, the shuttle winds up the Te Muna Valley to meet Margaret and Mike Hanson at Blue Earth Estate to hear stories and taste wines. Lunch will be with wine and winemakers followed by shuttle transfer to the square at about 3.30pm.
