Whitehaven Wines of Marlborough has come a long way from its early days when founders, Sue and (the late) Greg White decided to say goodbye to a life spent living on board their yacht and hello to winemaking in Marlborough.
From those fledgling beginnings, Whitehaven Wines has grown to become an impressively large wine producer, still owned by Sue White and now with second generation, Samantha White, both at the helm.
This is their latest Riesling - the driest I have tasted and an excellent wine now and for ageing.

2023 Whitehaven Marlborough Riesling RRP $25
Top notch dry Riesling from Whitehaven Wines of Marlborough. This vibrant young Riesling has zesty citrus flavours of lime, lemon and a hint of ripe grapefruit, all balanced by notes of peach and a long finish with bright acidity adding delicious length and great balance. This wine drinks beautifully now, unfolding layers of flavour on days two and three after opening, which suggests it has a long life ahead for those with wine cellars. RS is 4.9 grams per litre.
