The event has been pushed forward 12 months to its new date in 2022, due to current uncertainty about international travel, which event organisers and co-chairs, Pen Naish and Helen Masters, hope to be more settled by early 2021.
The event is a celebration of New Zealand’s most popular red grape variety, Pinot Noir, which occupies 5,625 hectares nationwide, second only to Sauvignon Blanc with 24,037 hectares.
The cornerstone of PinotNoir NZ is to bring the global wine community together to spend time in this country, learn about its regions, climate and weather patterns and, more importantly, get up close and personal with the wine itself, in its myriad different styles.
The co-chairs plan to announce their revised programme and line up of speakers in February 2021.
